The frames

Are the lenses really polarised?
Yes. Every George Andelli frame ships with polarised CR-39 lenses and 100% UVA/UVB protection as standard — no tiering, no lens upcharge. It's the single biggest difference between a $30 pair and ours.
What does “Italian-design acetate” mean?
Our frames are cut from layered cellulose acetate and finished in the acetate-craft tradition descending from the Cadore framing region of northeast Italy — hand-polished fronts, aged-gold five-barrel hinges, material depth you can see into. It describes the design lineage and the standard the frames are built to.
Acetate versus regular plastic — does it actually matter?
It does. Injection-moulded plastic is sprayed into a mould; acetate is cut from layered sheet, tumbled and polished. Acetate is denser, warmer against the skin, holds its shape and its gloss, and can be adjusted by an optician. Moulded plastic can't.
Are these prescription-ready?
They're sun-only frames — we don't sell Rx lenses. Most of our acetate silhouettes can be refitted with prescription sun lenses by any good optician if you'd like to.
How should I care for them?
Wipe with the included cloth, rinse salt spray with fresh water, and keep them in the case. Acetate's one enemy is sustained heat — don't leave them on a dashboard in July.

Fit

How do I know a frame will fit?
Every product page lists the measured fit — lens, bridge and temple in millimetres — plus a one-line note on which faces the shape suits. Check the numbers printed inside the temple of a pair that already fits you; most men wear a 50–57 mm lens.
Do you make different sizes?
One size per silhouette, sized to the middle of the men's range. The variety is in the geometry — ten shapes from a 46 mm round wire to a 58 mm wrap.
Can the fit be adjusted?
Yes — acetate temples can be warmed and adjusted by any optician in about two minutes, usually free. Wire frames (The Procida) adjust even more easily.

Shipping

How much is shipping, and how fast?
Shipping is a flat $3.99 and tracked on every U.S. order. Allow 5–10 business days door to door — 1–2 days processing, the rest in transit. You'll get a tracking link the moment it dispatches.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not yet. We currently ship within the United States only.
How do I track my order?
Use the tracking link in your dispatch email, or the Track Order page. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to show its first scan.

Returns

What is your return policy?
Thirty days from delivery, in original condition with the case and packaging. For change-of-mind returns you cover return postage; if anything is faulty or incorrect, we cover it. Full detail on the Returns & Refunds page.
Can I try them on and still return them?
Of course — trying frames in the mirror is what the 30 days are for. Keep the lenses clean and the case and packaging intact and the refund is full.
