Fit guide — The Cadore Square Sunglasses
A medium-wide frame with a strong brow. Suits square and oval faces; the soft corners keep it from reading severe.
| Measurement | This frame | Where it’s printed |
|---|---|---|
| Lens width | 53 mm | First number on your current temples |
| Bridge | 19 mm | Second number, after the square |
| Temple length | 145 mm | Third number |
Check the numbers printed inside the temple of a pair that already fits you — most men wear a 50–57 mm lens. One frame size; the fit is in the geometry.

The acetate
Cut thick the way seventies frames were, from layered acetate descending from the Cadore framing tradition of northeast Italy.
The lenses
Large polarised CR-39 lenses with full UVA/UVB protection. Real coverage, edge to edge, with colour that stays honest.
The hinges
Five-barrel hinges in aged gold, anchored deep in the acetate so the temples never loosen into a wobble.
What buyers say
From the people wearing it

Exactly the linen I wanted. Washed soft out of the box and the collar sits open without a tie. Wore it three days running in Charleston heat.

Heavier than I expected, in a good way. Proper acetate, not the thin stuff. The polarised lenses make a real difference on the water.

Better knit than I expected. Holds its shape after a wash and the collar has not curled once. Size up if you want it loose.

No break-in at all. Wore them straight out of the box for a full day walking. Suede has softened nicely since.

Arrived like a gift. Boxed with tissue and a ribbon, which is not what I expected at this price. Bought a second one a week later.

Sizing runs true. Took my usual and it landed right. The size guide is actually accurate, which saved me a return.

A case worth keeping.
A rigid presentation box, a magnetic leather-finish case, and a gold-embossed microfibre cloth. Packaging that survives gifting — nothing in a plastic pouch.
The Riviera, worn daily.
